Sustainability
Acting with foresight has never been a matter of trend for Prolactal – it is an expression of our responsibility.
Since 1984, we have been operating as a climate-neutral company. All our facilities are equipped with heat recovery systems, air filters, and energy-efficient cooling technology.
We use 100% green electricity and convert milk by-products into biogas. Our own flotation plant ensures efficient pre-treatment of wastewater, exceeding legal environmental standards by far.
Our state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant allows us to generate electricity from its residues, supporting the region by reducing the load on the municipal treatment facility in Hartberg.
In addition, Prolactal is certified under the Energy Efficiency Act, and SEDEX – clear proof of our ethical and sustainable production throughout the entire supply chain.
