Daniel started his career as an industrial clerk apprentice five years ago in 2015. His brother was already working at Prolactal and spoke very positively about the working conditions and colleagues. This and his desire to work for an international company were reason enough to apply for the apprenticeship. Today, Daniel tells about his education, daily business and reveals some private insights.

What did you like most about your apprenticeship?
Working in different departments. And colleagues who share their know-how with me as well as the respectful treatment of an apprentice.
Many young people are still looking for the right job for them. Who would you recommend this apprenticeship to?
I can recommend this apprenticeship to everyone who is looking for a commercial apprenticeship with an international touch. After the training, you usually have the opportunity to decide for yourself in which department you want to work.
What advice do you give to young people who are just about to decide on an apprenticeship?
Get as much information as possible about your desired training and companies that offer this training. Use the chance for taster days so that you can already gain first insights.
What do you like about Prolactal as an employer?
Prolactal never stays at the same level but continues to develop. Also, I like that the opinions of the individual employees are well received.
New responsibilities and chances
If you could have a video of a situation of your choice in your professional life, what situation would that be?
That would be the visit at the FIE in Paris in 2019 with my colleagues Lejla and Fabiola. When we got there to prepare our booth, nothing worked. The stand didn’t look like we would like it to, we had no electricity and our beloved Prolactal cow could not be set up for safety reasons… The panic was written on our faces. Nevertheless, we were able to organize everything that was missing and in the end it was our best-attended trade fair of all time. This change from panic and pure stress to the joy that everything finally worked out would be my video.
Which tasks in your new field of activity are you particularly looking forward to?
On planning and implementing new projects. There is a lot to come and I am looking forward to the chances and challenges.
What challenges will you face?
It will be challenging when there are cross-departmental projects, because it is very important that you sit down with the departments and fully understand the processes before you implement them.
What is your goal for the next year?
I am going to continue to support my work colleagues and superiors so that we encounter new markets and establish ourselves.

Family, friends and my health
Which places in Hartberg do you particularly like?
The main square – especially in winter with the Christmas lights it is very beautiful. I also like the Hartberger Castle and the associated park. And of course the sports field.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic discipline. Which one would you have the best chance of winning a medal?
Eating passionately! That would be my Olympic discipline. I really hope that it will be introduced at some point 😉
What would surprise us about you?
That I am not always the reserved and calm guy that I often seem to be. I can also be different 😉
